White Corn Grits
White Corn Grits
Maine Grains White Corn Grits in a meal-size portion! Most grits that you’ll find on the store shelves today are made with floury dent corn, resulting in a soft, porridge-like consistency. We opted toward the more traditional form for our grits – flint corn! The rich flavor and firm, chewy texture of flint corn is ideal for preparing grits. It may take a little longer to cook than most are accustomed to, but the results are more than worth the wait. This Somali variety is mostly white, with beautiful flecks of red and yellow mixed throughout.
