2010 "Forlì Bro Bianco"
Appellation/Region: Emilia Romagna, Italy
Hello easy drinking Italian table wine! This one is an easy drinking white from Emilia Romagna that has a bit of oily mouthfeel if you want to drink it with some tuna, scallops, swordfish, or even chicken. It comes from some steep slopes and rich mineral soils containing limestone and sand. It's a refreshing and delicious treat. The label is pretty darn Nantucket too, I mean, look at that whale.
This storied winery was a safe haven after Germans occupied the area during WWII. The tradition of empathy and care for neighbors has been passed down through 4 generations of winemakers. Noelia Ricci and her son Marco have a commitment to farming in a classic style that gives way for a better future for the area. With a tip of the cap to the history of the land and the winery, Noelia Ricci's wines have notable character and expression.
Tasting notes: Pear, lemon curd, and white flowers
