Our mission is to build a healthy community by re-connecting people to local food and goods. Our goal is to create a space where everyone is welcome to eat local, to shop local, and to gather. We help to create a healthier and more resilient community by making buying local simple.
We are driven by the dream of a new and better food community. We want to play a role in rebuilding our food system with a foundation of transparency and equity. Your weekly shopping routine supports your local economy and contributes to a lighter environmental footprint. When you shop with us, you move with us towards a better food future.
We are your new virtual neighborhood grocery store. When you shop with us, you enable local growers and producers to continue doing what they love - growing food, making sauces, throwing pottery, weaving, making soap, scoby-fermenting, spice blending, and all sorts of other things done with love on the island of Nantucket.
Pip and Anchor was born out of a whim of a pop-up online grocery store started by 100 Mile Makers in early 2020. What was meant to be a 5-week trial run turned into a year of getting local goods out the door and growing so much that we needed our very own space. We are now rooted in our new neighborhood at 14 Amelia. Founders Chris, Mayumi, and Rita look forward to filling your bags, these shelves, and someday soon, your plates, with local food.
